Real Time Gross Settlement

Real Time Gross Settlement (RTGS) is a concept designed to achieve sound risk management in the settlement of interbank payments. Transactions are settled across accounts held at the Central Bank on a continuous gross basis where settlement is immediate, final and irrevocable.
