RICHARD BANCROFT

RICHARD BANCROFT (1554-1610), archbishop of Canterbury, a zealous Churchman and an enemy of the Puritans; represented the Church at the Hampton Court Conference, and was chief overseer of the Authorised Version of the Bible.
