Richard Brome

Richard Brome ( c. 1590-1652) was an English comic playwright, contemporary with Ben Jonson (c. 1572 – 1637), and a rival, but originally his servant. His plays are numerous, and were characterised by his enemies as the sweepings of Jonson's study.
