Richard Nash

Richard Nash (1674-1761), known as "Beau Nash," was a Welsh lawyer and a man of fashion, born at Swansea. He installed himself as master of the ceremonies at Bath, and ruler of the assemblies of fashion in that resort. He was a charitable man as well as gay. He died in poverty, but was honoured with a public funeral.
