Robert Liston

Robert Liston (1794-1847) was a celebrated British surgeon, born in Linlithgowshire. He studied in Edinburgh and London. He was distinguished as an operator, and was professor of Clinical Surgery in University College, London, and author of "Elements of Surgery" and "Practical Surgery".
