Rosa Parks

Rosa Parks (1913-2005), full name Rosa Louise McCauley Parks, was a US civil rights activist. She is regarded as 'Mother of the Civil Rights Movement'. She is known for starting Montgomery bus boycott by refusing to move to back of bus. The United States Congress has honored her as "the first lady of civil rights" and "the mother of the freedom movement".
