Roy Wilkins

Roy Wilkins (1901-1981), full name Roy Ottoway Wilkins, was a US civil rights leader. He was a prominent activist in the Civil Rights Movement in the United States from the 1930s to the 1970s. He was head of National Association for the Advancement of Colored People (NAACP) during 1955-1977.
