Rupert's Land
Rupert's Land is a name given by Prince Rupert, also known as the Prince Rupert of the Rhine, a nephew of King Charles I and the the first governor of Hudson Bay Company, to a former territory in British North America the drainage of which flows into Hudson Bay or Strait. Rupert's Land lie mostly within what is today Canada. The territory operated for 200 years from 1670 to 1870.Nearby pages
