Sahaya Ram Das

Sahaya Ram Das was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. He was born on 1st of December 1913 at Ranaghat, Nadia, west Bengal. He was son of Ashutosh Das. He fought a pitched battle with the army on Jalalabad Hill. He was arrested on 24.04.1930, and sent to Andaman jail. He took part in first and second hunger strike in Cellular jail and then in Alipore jail in July 1939. He was repatriated in January 1938. He was released on 31st of August 1946. His total jail period more that 16 years.
