Samuel Beckett
Samuel Beckett (1906 — 89), full name Samuel Barclay Beckett, was an Irish playwright, novelist, and poet. He is chiefly known for his "Waiting for Godot" (1952), which is a seminal work in the Theatre of the Absurd influencing later developments in literature.
