Samuel Horsley

Samuel Horsley (1733-1806) was an English prelate, born in London. He was celebrated as the champion of orthodoxy against the attacks of Priestley, in which he showed great learning but much bitterness, which, however, brought him church preferment. He was in succession bishop of St. Davids, Rochester, and St. Asaph.
