Saroj Kumar Bose was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. Born at Dinajpur, Bangladesh on 01.03.1915. s/o Ananda Mohan Basu. Joined the Anusheelan Party at an early age. Was an I.S.C. student. Arrested on 29.10.1933. in connection with the Hilli Action . He was given the death sentence. This was commuted to 10 years prison on appeal. Participated in the second hunger strike. Repatriated in January 1938. Took part in another hunger strike in July 1939. released in May, 1942 but rearrested at the jail gate as a security prisoner. Released in September 1945. Total jail period about 12 years.
