Sattal is in Uttarakhand state of India. It is a cluster of seven lakes from which it derives its name. It is located at about a distance of 13 kms from Bhawali and at a height of 1371 metres. It is situated amids lush green forest of mainly oak trees. There is also an ashram of Stanley Johns, an American Missionary.
