Satyendra Narayan Majumdar was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. Born 10.10.1910 at Mathabanga, Kuchbihar state. S/o Late Umesh Chandra Majumadar. Was a Post Graduate student of Calcutta University when Arrested on 02.01.1933. Joined Anusheelan Samity in 1927. Was president of Bengal Students Association. Sentenced to 7 years prison and deported to Andamans. Took part in the second hunger strike. Attempted to escape from Alipore Jail in July 1934 while he was an undertrial prisoner but couldnot get access to outer wall. Took part in another hunger strike in July 1939. After release arrested under D.I.R. in 1941 and detained till September 1945. A prolific writer in Bengali and English. His total jail period about 13 years.
