Selby

Selby is a market-town of Yorkshire, England, on the Ouse, 15 miles South of York. It has a noted cruciform abbey church, founded in the 12th century, and exhibiting various styles of architecture. It has some boat-building. It manufactures flax, ropes, leather, bricks, &c.
