Serajul Haque

Serajul Haque was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. He was born on 15.02.1907, Hooghly, West Bengal. He was son of Abdul Jalil who was in government service, a Sub Registrar. He joined Yugantar Party at the age of 17. He participated in the Civil Disobedience Movement in 1930 and had to suffer imprisonment for 3 months. He was arrested on 03.11.1931 and convinced to 5 years of rigorous imprisonment (R.I.) under Arms Act in Calcutta. He was deported to Andamans. He participated in the first hunger strike. He was ultimately repatriated and released but interned.
