Sidon

Sidon is an ancient Phoenician city in Lebanon on the East of the Mediterranean, 20 miles North of Tyre, with an extensive commerce. The city was famed for its glass and purple dye. It also suffered many a reverse of fortune. Presently, it is an administrative centre and market town.
