Sikandra Fort, located only 13 kms from the Agra Fort in Uttar pradesh in India is the last resting place of the Mughal emperor Akbar. His son Jahangir completed the construction of this pyramidal tomb in 1613. Akbar's vast, beautifully carved, red-ochre sandstone tomb here is set amidst a lush garden. He himself planned his own tomb and selected a the site. The tomb has five storeys and is in the shape of a truncated pyramid.
