Sir Henry Yule
Sir Henry Yule (1820-1889) was an orientalist, known mainly for his two great works, "The Book of Marco Polo the Venetian" and the "Anglo-Indian Glossary," known by its other title as "Hobson Jobson".Born at Inveresk, Mid-Lothian, Sir Henry Yule became an officer in Bengal Engineers, and engaged in surveys in the East. He also became president of the Royal Asiatic Society and wrote numerous articles for Asiatic societies.
