Sir William Napier
Sir William Napier (1785-1860) was a British general, brother of the conqueror of Sinde. He entered the army at the age of 15, served all through the Peninsular War, and wrote, besides the "Conquest of Sinde," the "History of the Peninsular War," a celebrated work, written from intimate knowledge of the events and with matchless graphic power.Nearby pages
