Sir William Withey Gull

Sir William Withey Gull (1816-1890) was an English physician, born at Thorpe-le-Soken. Received his medical training at London, and in 1843, he became professor of Physiology at the Royal Institution. Four years later he was appointed clinical lecturer at Guy's Hospital. In 1871 his attendance on the Prince of Wales brought him a baronetcy. He published various lectures and papers on cholera, paralysis, &c.
