Sitangshu Dutta Roy was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. Born 01.07.1907, Dhaki, Mitamain, Mymensingh, Bangladesh, s/o Late Shibdas Dutta Roy. Belonged to Yugantar Party. Arrested on 14.04.1932 and detained under B.C.L.A in Hijli Detention Camp. He made an accused in the Graham District Magistrate shooting and Conspiracy Case and was sent up for trial at Ntrokona. Sentenced to six years prison term . Deported to Andamans. Took part in the second hunger strike. Repatraited and released in 1938. Interned during Quit India Movement in 1942. Total jail period more than seven years.
