Snorri Sturlason
Snorri Sturlason (1179 – 1241), also Sturluson, was an Icelandic historian and poet. He published the collection of sagas entitled "Heimskringla," among which were many songs of his own composition. He was a man of position and influence in Iceland, but having provoked the ill-will of Haco was at his instigation assassinated in 1241.Nearby pages
