Spurius Cassius

Spurius Cassius (542 BC - 485 BC), full name Spurius Cassius Vecellinus or Vicellinus, was a distinguished Roman, who was thrice chosen consul, first time 502 BC. He subdued the Sabines, made a league with the Latins, promoted an agrarian law, the first passed, which conceded to the plebs a share in the public lands.
