Sri Sri Joybhum Kamakhya
Sri Sri Joybhum Kamakhya is in Goalpara district of Assam in India. It is situated on the bank of the river Brahmaputra at a distance of about 50 km from Goalpara Town. It is famous as one of the 51 Shakti peetas covering India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, Srilanka and Nepal. The temple is located at the top of a hillock. There is a Shiva temple also by the side of the Joybhum Kamakhya Temple.The temple was rebuilt in 17th century after it was devastated by an earthquake.
