Sri Venkateshwara National Park

Sri Venkateshwara National Park, also known as Sri Venkateswara Zoological Park, is in Andhra Pradesh in India. It is spread over an area of 353 sq km in the two districts of the state - Kadapa and Chittoor. It includes the areas of Rajampet, Kadapa, Chandragiri, Ballapadu and Chittoor.

It is situated in the hills of Tirumala and Seshachalam and has lush green valleys, deep gorges, plateaus and steep slopes forming some of the beautiful waterfalls.

The Park has mainly dry deciduous forest. However, there are also patches of moist deciduous forests.

It has over 1,500 species of flora belonging to 176 families.

A number of mammals, birds and reptiles are found here, which includes the rare slender loris and the golden gecko.

Other animals, such as tree shrew, Indian giant squirrel, flying lizards, wild boar, nilgai, leopard, hyena, spotted deer, blackbuck, sloth bear, bison, mongoose, fox, civet, bears and sambar, are also found here.
