St Anne

St Anne was traditionally the wife of St Joachim and the mother of the Virgin Mary. She is the patron saint of carpentry. Her name was first mentioned in the apocryphal gospel of James in the 2nd century AD. Feast day or festival in her name is observed on July 26.
