St Augustin
St Augustin (d. 605), also Austin, was the apostle of England, sent thither with a few monks by Pope Gregory in 596 to convert the country to Christianity. He began his labours in Kent and founded the see, or rather archbishopric, of Canterbury.Nearby pages
