St Augustine

St Augustine (d. c. 604), also known as St Augustine of Canterbury, was an Italian churchman. Pope Gregory the Great had sent him from Rome to Canterbury, where he founded a monastery. He also became the first archbishop of this Church. Feast day, May 26.
