St Teresa of Avila
St Teresa of Avila (1515-1582) was a Spanish nun, a Carmelite reformer and a mystic. She is also known as co-patron saint of Spain. She instituted the 'discalced' reform movement with St John of the Cross. She founded nine convents. She also wrote poems. Her writings included the posthumously published 'The Way of Perfection' (1583) and 'The Interior Castle' (1588). Her Feast day is October 15.Wisdom & Quotes
