St Wilfrid
St Wilfrid (c. 633 – 709) was a Saxon bishop of York, born in Northumbria, England. He was brought up at Lindisfarne. He had a checkered life of it. He is celebrated in legend for his success in converting pagans, and is usually represented in the act.Nearby pages
