Subhas Chandra Bose

Subhas Chandra Bose (1897-1945) was Indian nationalist leader. He campaigned actively for complete Indian independence. He was president of the All India Congress (1938); an Axis supporter in World War II, became commander-in-chief of the Japanese-backed Indian National Army; believed killed in Formosa.
