Sudhindra Nath Bhattacharjee

Sudhindra Nath Bhattacharjee was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. He was born on 25.08.1910 at Sagarpara, a rajshahi town, now in Bangladesh. He was on of Chandra Nath Bhattacharya. At an early ages of 17 he joined Jugantar Party. He took part in civil disobedience movement in 1930 for 3 months. He was arrested in connection with Bogura Postal Action in North Bengal Conspiracy in Calcutta on 14.01.1934 and sentenced to 5 years of rigorous imprisonment (R.I.), and another 9 months in Alipore jail for hunger strike. He was deported to Andamans Cellular Jail. He was eleased in 1938 from Alipore Central Jail on medical grounds. His total jail period was 6 years.
