Sukumar Ghosh was a revolutionary freedom fighter of India. Born 28.11.1908, Subhadya, Daca, Bangladesh s/o Late Pratap Chandra Ghosh. Belonged to Bengal Volunteers Matriculate. Remained underground from 1932 to 1934. Govt declared handsome reward for his arrest.Arrested in July, 1934 , in connection with Lebong Action and then Governor Anderson Shooting and sentenced to 14 years prison term. Deported to the Andamns. Participated in the second hunger strike. Repatriated in January 1938. Detained as a security prisoner after the completion of the prison term. Released in 1946. Total jail period more than 12 years.
