Supaul
Supaul is a district in the State of Bihar in India. It derives its name from the town of the same name which headquarters it. Area of this district is 2,420 sq km. Its population as per Census 2011 was 2229076. It has 12 Blocks, 20 Police Stations, 181 Gram Panchayats, 1 Municipal Corporation, and 4 Subdivisions. The subdivisions are Supaul, Birpur, Nirmali, Tribeniganj. Development blocks are Supaul, Triveniganj, Pipara, Marauna, Kishunpur, Raghopur, Nirmali ,Basantpur, Chhatapur, Saraigarh, Bhaptiyahi, Pratapganj. Paddy production is the chief agricultural activity. Industry is not yet developed.
