Talatal Ghar

Talatal Ghar is a historical palace in Sivasagar district of Assam in India. It is situated at about 4 km south of Sivasagar town.

It is made of bricks and an indigenous type of cement was used in its construction. The palace was built during the reign of the Ahom king Rajeswar Singha. It has seven storeys - four above and three below the-ground. There are also two underground ways, one of which leading to the Dikhow river. It is almost three kilometers in length. It was blocked by the East India company.
