Tanginath is in Dumri block of Gumla district in Jharkhand in India. It is situated at about 50kms away from Gumla headquarter and 8km from Dumri. This place is famous for several architectural works in its lap from the ancient era to the medieval era. It has great religious and historical importance. It is famous as SHIVASTHALI. There is a great TRISHOOL (trident) of rustproof iron. TANGINATH is situated on a hill about 300 feet high. This place has important bearings of the history of NAGVANSHI kings of Chhotanagpur, RUXELVANSHI kings of Surguja, and that of BARWE kingdom. In an area of about 10000 square meter there are the stone images of lord VISHNU, SURYA, LUXMI, BHAWANI and countless number of other deities lying in open. Hundreds of Shiv Lings are placed here and there. There are many other images which are not identified. Some of teh images are said to be the images of Lord Buddha. The main temple of lord Shiv, the great Trishool buried in the ground, the Sun temple, and the Surya Kund are of great import.
