Tellicherri

Tellicherri is a seaport on the Malabar coast in the Kannur district in the state of Kerala in India. It is fortified and garrisoned; surrounding country is pretty, as well as productive of coffee, cardamoms, and sandal-wood. During British Raj it was in Madras Presidency.
