The Delhi Sultanate

The Delhi Sultanate is the name given to the period of 320 years between 1206 and 1526 in the history of India, when five dynasties ruled over the large part of the Indian subcontinent from Delhi which included large territories of modern-day India, Pakistan, Bangladesh, and some parts of southern Nepal. They were - the Slave dynasty (1206-90), Khilji dynasty (1290-1320), Tughlaq dynasty (1320-1413), Sayyid dynasty (1414-51), and Lodhi dynasty (1451-1526).
