The Entente Cordiale

The Entente Cordiale was the political understanding reached between Britain and France in 1904. It was a friendly understanding that marked the end of almost a thousand years of intermittent conflict between the two countries.

Later, this understanding formed the basis of cooperation between England and France during World War I.
