The Battle of the Metanrus

The Battle of the Metanrus was fought in 207 BC in which the Carthaginian forces under Hasdrubal were overthrown by the Romans.

The another Battle of Metanrus was fought in AD 9, which resulted in the victory of the German tribes under Arminins over the Roman legions under Varus. The battle was fought in what is now the province of Lippe, Germany, near the source of the river Ems.
