Thomas Bradwardin

Thomas Bradwardin (c. 1290-1349) was an English archbishop of Canterbury, surnamed "Doctor Profundus" from his treatise "De Causa Dei" against Pelagianism. He was chaplain to Edward III. He was present at Crécy and at the taking of Calais, He died of the black death shortly after his consecration.
