Thomas E Dewey

Thomas E Dewey (1902-1971), full name Thomas Edmund Dewey, was a US lawyer, prosecutor, and politician who served as the 47th governor of New York from 1943 to 1954. He was the Republican candidate for president in 1944 and 1948.
