Thomas Hardy
Thomas Hardy (1840 – 1928) was an English novelist and poet, born in Dorsetshire, with whose scenery he has made his readers familiar. He was bred an architect. He first earned popularity in 1874 by his "Far from the Madding Crowd," which was followed by, among others, "The Return of the Native," "The Woodlanders," "Tess of the D'Urbervilles" and "Jude the Obscure".Nearby pages
