Thomas Pringle

Thomas Pringle (1789-1834) was a minor Scottish poet and writer, born in Roxburghshire. He edited the Monthly Magazine. He emigrated to South Africa, held a small government appointment, and was bullied out of it, after which he returned home, and became Secretary to the Anti-Slavery Society.
