Thomas William Robertson

Thomas William Robertson (1829-1871) was a popular English dramatist, the son of an actor, born at Newark-on-Trent. He was brought up amongst actors, and thereby he naturally took to the stage, but without success. He was always ready with his pen. He at last made his mark with "David Garrick," and followed it up with the equally successful "Ours," "Caste," "School," &c.
