Thüringia

Thüringia is officially the Free State of Thuringia, a state of central Germany. Originally the territory of the Thuringians (an ancient German tribe), became an integral portion of the German empire, occupying a central position, with Saxony on its North and East, and Bavaria on the South. A considerable portion of it is covered by the Thuringian Forest.
