Tirumala is one of the most important place of pilgrimage for Hindus in India. It is situated in Andhra Pradesh.
Tirumala is famous for Venkateswara temple. The site is situated among a range of seven wooded hills at a height of about 700 meters. Its construction began in the 10th century, however, prospered later in 16th century. The temple was patronised by Vijayanagara kings.
