TONGALAND

TONGALAND was a native State on the E. coast of South Africa, stretching N. of Zululand.

Presently this region is called Maputaland. It is located in the northern part of the province of KwaZulu-Natal in South Africa between Swaziland and the coast but in a wider sense it also includes the southernmost region of Mozambique.
