Udupi
Udupi is a district in the State of Karnataka in India. It is situated between the verdant mountains of the western ghats on the east and the vast, tranquil Arabian Sea on the west. The district derives its name from the town of the same name which is also its headquarters.History
This district was carved out of the erstwhile Dakshina Kannada, which was more aptly called "Parashurama Srishti", encapsulates the vast cultural heritage. This place witnessed the renaissance during Madhavacharya, who was a great religious teacher of India.Politics
